If you’re thirsty for graphic design and you’re soaking up the sun in Boca Raton, opening today is “Curiosities, Rick Valicenti + the 21st Century Thirst.” It’s a retrospective of work from the past decade curated to “underscore the collaborativebalance and value between the professional commission and the personalresearch,” says Valicenti.

The exhibition is opening on February 13th at Florida Atlantic University’s Schmidt Center Gallery in Boca Raton. It will run until April 3rd, and ultimately travel to NYC (I can’t wait).

An opening reception for the exhibition, beginning with a lecture byValicenti, will be presented on Friday, February 12 from 7 to 9 pm. Inassociation with the exhibition, the FAU Dance Ensemble will premiere a work on February 5–7, a collaborationbetween Valicenti and graduate students in dance andthe visual arts.
