WEEKEND EXTRA: It might be the 21st Century equivalent of John D. Rockefeller handing out dimes to children. First there was the Pontiac car give-a-way for everyone in Oprah’s studio audience. Now its an iPad and $10,000 for every staff member (no freelancers) of “O” magazine to commemorate the 10th year. Not only does the staff love Oprah, but the IRS will make out too. Actually, she’s nothing like Rockefeller. He was not lovable or even likable (in fact, during the Depression he switched to nickels). I’d also rather have 10k than 10 cents, wouldn’t you? Oh-O-Oprah.
