Henrik Drescher sent this email the other day under the heading “Rediscovered Art:”
Hi there, I’ve recently rediscovered a massive collection of 1980-1990’s New York Times, Progressive and other art for sale.
And massive it is. If you visit his website here, you will see a stunning assortment of color and black and white originals, including editorial (some I art directed for the New York Times Book Review) and childrens book illustrations. Prices start at around $400.
Would I buy a used illo from this man? This stuff makes me think I probably would.
[Don’t miss the Weekend Daily Heller here, for “The Sweet Smell of Success” and “Mini Meat.”]
