The Vancouver Maritime Museum in Vancouver BC is showing The Golden Age of Steamship Travel: Voyages of Immigration that Changed Canada (until Friday, April 1). The exhibition features early 20th century steamship memorabilia and artifacts collected by physician and surgeon Dr. Wallace Chung, a lifetime resident of Vancouver. Chung donated part of his personal collection, which includes more than 600 rare posters, to the museum. The show includes several vintage posters, aimed at both immigrants and tourists, celebrating the heyday of steamship travel, depicting ocean liners crossing both the Atlantic and Pacific.
