Henrik Drescher has made the best of being shuttered down. "I thought [I'd] show you how this COVID vortex has affected me," he wrote about the suite of large (40" x 50") and larger (50" x 70") watercolors made using a top-secret painting system that "I concocted in a fever dream." Between March and now, Drescher, who is known for testing the limits of his own abilities, has made somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 of these pictures. Regarding "the secret sauce" of his work, "I’d like to keep that a mystery," he says. It is interesting that other picture-makers, he adds, "aren’t able to understand how these are made."
