Palo Alto, Calif.-based Fred Bould designed the Aura Lamp for Pablo Inc. of San Francisco, marking the first time Pablo has worked with an outside designer. The 24-inch-high lamp is made using an acrylic molding. The shade is textured into the mold, and Bould says the visible coiled cord is important to the design, giving it “a scientific look.” It comes in clear, blue, amber and silver and retails for $200. www.pablodesigns.com
