Italy’s Zanotta commissioned Todd Bracher—the first American designer they’ve worked with—to create the Freud sofa. A native New Yorker, Bracher now lives and works in Milan, Italy, and created the asymmetrical steel-frame sofa with a reclined support available in a left or right version. The environmentally friendly sofa is filled with self-extinguishing polyurethane foam with elastic webbing. It has a non-removable, internal nylon cover and a removable, external cover in fabric or leather. It retails for about $1,650. www.zanotta.com
