Magic Plug

London-based W2 Products Ltd. creates housewares, such as candle holders, soap dishes and sink and bath plugs, made entirely from silicon. The firm’s founders, Victoria Whitbread and Jackie Piper, like to use silicon because of its durability and bold colors, and because it’s “beautiful to touch.” The latest design, the Magic series, uses a thermochromatic pigment that changes color due to temperature increase or decrease. The Magic Plug turns from bright pink to white when submerged in hot water. W2’s Magic Line retails between $8 and $10. www.w2products.com
