Its quirky name aside, Duluth, Ga.-based Duravit’s McDry has a look and function that attract our attention. An environmentally friendly, waterless urinal, the entirely ceramic McDry doesn’t use water pipes or a flushing mechanism. By utilizing a ceramic, rather than plastic, siphon and the McDry Blue sealing liquid—a non-water-soluble substance that also controls odor—the urinal disposes urine directly into the sewage system.
