Nectar Set

New York-based Marek Cecula designed the Nectar Set for “magic cocktails and summer drinks.” Modus Design's Cecula used corundum-an advanced ceramic material with the makeup of rubies and sapphires-for this pitcher and two-cup set. The pieces were fired at higher temperatures than porcelain, which the designer says makes them durable yet translucent. The set comes in pink, bone and blue and retails for $450. www.modusdesign.com
