December 16, 2008. Until January 15th, Beijing’s year-old Ullens Center for Contemporary Art will present its Christian Dior and Chinese Artists exhibition, introducing the work of 20 Chinese artists, including the likes of Wang Du, Wen Fang and Rong Rong & Inri, commissioned to create work inspired by Dior’s fashions. Alongside the more recent pieces are more than 100 Dior Couture garments, including the 1947 “New Look,” one of the legend’s most influential designs, as well as confections created by the house’s current artistic director, John Galliano. ucca.org.cn
