The wall-mounted Without Thought CD player—the brainchild of Naoto Fukasawa, lead designer at IDEO’s Tokyo office—is reminiscent of a fan, as if a breeze is delivered when the disc spins. How it works: A pull-string acts as the on/off switch; sound emits from the surround; and volume and forward/reverse controls are on the top edge.
