Here’s a gorgeous piece of typography from Keetra Dixon, whose work I’ve been following since she and her partner, JK Keller were undergrads at Cranbrook a few years back. This is actually a collaboration between the two, but I haven’t seen it at his site.
This piece is a really lovely example of simple thought making a complex object: a combination of the words “mistake” and “amazing.” “Mistake,” rendered in a grotesque, becomes an extrusion path for 3D characters in a commercial script spelling “amazing.” it’s a commission for Good Magazine.
