Hands down, the coolest thing I’ve found by mistake lately: The Worcestershire & Districts Change Ringing Association. This is an association of church bell ringers, and resources for those profesionals (and, I think, hobbyists). Within, you’ll find a map of local-area bell towers, resources for ringers (such as ways to make their change ringing more interesting), methods for rope splicing, and safety in bellringing. Explore; the site’s a bit haphazard in organization, but there is so much rich, rare, interesting information here.

Incidentally, I found this while looking for ways to tie off the ninety-foot cord my Wacom Intuos tablet drags around. This is the knot I ended up using (from a site called Animated Knots by Grog) which is actually quite lovely and compact.) and here’s the comment @wacom made when I mentioned they should probably show users how to tie off their cords.
