Gotta hand it to the photo editors at Angus & Robertson Publishers (London) and Philip Cammarata for their keen sense of smell. In 1987 when the below volume was published, they sniffed out a trend that would soon become a lingering mainstay in many film comedies of the ’90s and 2000s.
As the title suggests, once upon a time, even the word “fart” was so cheesy it couldn’t be spelled out. Now it comes up smelling like roses in common parlance and casual conversation.
Sadly, the book is out of print, but if you want to see all the expertly selected photographs you can try to get a copy here.
