F+W Media has named Aaron Kenedi to the position of Editor-in-Chief of its award-winning Print brand, giving Kenedi responsibility for the future positioning and growth of all channels bearing the Print brand, on and offline. “The media business has evolved into a multi-platform business delivering content across platforms. It is critical that today’s Editor-in-Chief possess a diverse and wide range of skills to meet this challenge,” said Gary Lynch, Publisher and Editorial Director, for the F+W Media Design Group. “Guiding one of the most powerful legacy brands serving the global community of visual artists, the Editor-in-Chief of Print will be responsible for developing the brand across many different channels – magazines, books, events and digital. Aaron’s background, skill set and expertise are ideally suited to meet this challenge, extend the Print brand, and accelerate the growth of this profitable business.” “Design is more relevant today than ever. Having the opportunity to further grow such an established and well-respected brand as Print is really a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Kenedi. “I’m truly honored to collaborate with the talented people here to keep delivering the high quality content and design people have enjoyed for more than 70 years. And with a newly established book division, a thriving web presence, and annual contests and events, our ultimate goal is to educate and inspire new generations of design enthusiasts for the next 70 years and beyond.” Kenedi brings more than fifteen years of professional design and editorial experience to the position. He has written, edited, and designed books, magazines, newspapers, and web sites for companies including HarperCollins, Bulfinch, ESPN, TV Guide, Newsday, and the San Francisco Chronicle. Kenedi was the founder and editor-in-chief of Shift Media and also served as editorial director of Miller Media, a book design firm in San Francisco. He has collaborated with leading editorial and design thinkers John Miller and Mario Garcia, and was a founding team member of Danilo Black with Roger Black in San Francisco.
