Michael Russem and the staff of Kat Ran Press make small booklets that are packed with wonderfully curious design work. They’ve revived Eric Gill’s Notes on Postage Stamps, W.A. Dwiggins’ Towards a Reform of the Paper Currency, and produced Niko Courtelis’ Philatelic Atrocities and more

Maps (on paper) has a unique quality of having gone through the drawers of a sometime traveler. You don’t have to be a map wonk to love the passion that plays out in this reminder of how important maps and directional graphics are in all our lives.

Kat Ran’s work might best be called “comfort printing.” There is a sense of contentment that washes over me every time I turn the pages. Contact them for more information.
