Since its launch in 2010, the MiiR drinkware company has stood apart from the pack, “choosing people and planet over the demands of Wall Street.” The Seattle-based B corp partners with nonprofits and donates a portion of every sale to them—and so far, thats translated to more than $1 million delivered to 69 projects in 26 countries. (Have a MiiR product? Look at the GiveCode on the base of it to discover what you’ve helped to fund.)

In addition to philanthropy, the company has a focus on design—as is evident in their collaboration with Dana Tanamachi. The new MiiR x Tanamachi line is intended to highlight global resilience in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, and supports Preemptive Love, a nonprofit that is currently providing medical care and supplying food to starving quarantined Syrian refugees.

The collection—consisting of the Kōhi Coffee Canister, Unity Camp Cup, Rooted Travel Tumbler, Maru Wide-Mouth Bottle and tote, and coffee from Saint Frank—was inspired by the Japanese concept of Gaman (我慢), meaning “enduring the seemingly unbearable with patience and dignity.”

At the moment, anyone who preorders a product through June 30 will also be entered into a giveaway to win a custom skateboard designed and painted by Tanamachi.
