What’s a design or designer selfie? Easy. It’s a self-promotional piece. I’ve been collecting them for ages. And this by the Philadelphia designer Matthew Leibowitz (1918–1974) struck me for its quintessential mid-century modern collage aesthetic. Leibowitz was an exemplar of this style of overlaying, also done by Lester Beall. There is more of his work on view at R.I.T. here.
