Yellow Treehouse Restaurant in Auckland, New Zealand. The pine and poplar beams attached to a redwood tree resemble the construction of a moth’s nest. This luminous structure is the product of Pacific Environments Architects, Ltd. and seats eighteen diners.
For the one-time gangster who built it, it is nothing less than “the eighth wonder of the world”. The less charitably disposed dismiss it as a glorified barn, fire hazard and eyesore.
But on one thing everyone agrees: Nikolai Sutyagin’s home is certainly different.
Dominating the skyline of Arkhangelsk, a city in Russia’s far north-west, it is believed to be the world’s tallest wooden house, soaring 13 floors to reach 144ft – about half the size of the tower of Big Ben.

So this love of buildings helps me out in projects like this next one, again for Levis, they always have such fun projects. We just finished it last week, it will probably be up for about 6 months or so. We transformed the main lobby at the headquarters to fit their current campaign “ready to work”. We used pallets and plywood, stencils, neon signs, denim, vintage lighting and amazing imagery.
Levis has started a great “pop up” workshop concept to work along side their READY TO WORK launch. There are a few places you can go and learn to screenprint and get lesson on how to make your own shirts, posters etc. I think it is a great way to get the brand involved in the community and to inspire people to do things for themselves. http://workshops.levi.com/ I should have taken a class…

We used vintage lights , rewired them, put edison bulbs in each one and hung them from different heights. They were suspended from an existing 2 story metal structure by doug fir beams.
