Design by design, illustrator Edel Rodriguez has emerged as the preeminent artistic documentarian of the Trump era. Whether on the cover of Time, Der Spiegel or a book, his images simultaneously amuse and horrify as they confront the absurd realities (and often hypocrisies) of the moment.
For years, people have been asking Rodriguez if he sells T-shirts of his work—and in late May he finally teamed up with some friends so that the answer could be “yes.”
The aptly named new store AGIT POP! (a play on the music industry term, retrofitted for pop art) now sells a variety of officially licensed goods—including the latest offering, face masks.
