Paul Rand Drawing Lines

Since the opening last week at the Museum of the City of New York—“Everything is Design: The Work of Paul Rand,” curated by Donald Albrecht—there have been a number of tweets of drawings done by Rand from the exhibition.

Sifting through my boxes of Paul Randiania, I found this printed cover for the Wittenborn, Schultz publishing catalog, which Rand also designed. Note how the fluid pencil logo cum monogram for Wittenborn has the same informality as this drawing of unknown purpose.

Print’s Regional Design Annual 2015: Enter Today. The 2015 Regional Design Annual is now open. Don’t miss your chance to have your work reviewed by the best minds in design today and to be spotlighted in our most popular issue of the year—the industry’s most prestigious and well-respected annual.
