Philip Lindeman is a freelance illustrator based in The Netherlands. Recently, the artist created a few spreads to be featured in Volkskrant Magazine's summer special.

The spreads focus on singer Marco Borsato and songwriter John Ewbank to discuss their hit song 'De meeste dromen zijn bedrog,' which translates to 'Most dreams are deception.' The colorful illustrations feature dreamlike imagery but look long enough, and you'll start to feel like you're in a trance.

In this story John Schoorl fully analyses a Dutch mega hit, called ‘De meeste dromen zijn bedrog’ (translated: ‘Most dreams are deception’) by Marco Borsato. John sat down with Marco and songwriter John Ewbank to talk about the origins and meaning of the song, but also discusses the definition of dreaming substantively by talking to psychoanalysts.
