Celery Design Collaborative

The “Eco Tools” section of Celery Design Collaborative’s website has an “Ecological Guide to Paper” with an overview of paper available on the market. The site also includes a version of the “Sustainability Scorecard” that Celery uses to assess a design project’s impact.


AIGA Center for Sustainable Design

The website of the AIGA Center for Sustainable Design offers a wealth of information about green design, including a guide to “Print Design and Environmental Responsibility.” The site also lists announcements about “Green Salons,” events organized by local AIGA chapters where designers meet to discuss sustainability. AIGA San Diego, for instance, meets on the second Wednesday of every month.


More Associates

More Associates’ website contains the studio’s design manifesto as well as case studies and research initiatives the firm has worked on.

The Moderns

The Moderns’ website includes case studies and a “Design Ecology” page that explains the principles of “eco-effectiveness” and “cradle to cradle.”


Designers Accord

Designers Accord is an organization that provides a framework and resources that designers and businesses can use to create an ecologically positive impact through design.


Core77 The Core77 blog features news and commentary about green design.

Lovely as a Tree

Lovely as a Tree details helpful information about the impact of paper production and printing.


Paper Task Force

The Environmental Defense Fund’s Paper Task Force provides an online Paper Calculator that shows the benefits of purchasing recycled papers. The group also provides a guide to buying paper and case studies showing how corporations saved money and reduced environmental impact through paper selections.
