Kevin O’Callaghan, chair of 3D BFA Design at SVA NYC is the master of the improbable . . . but never the impossible. In his long career of making the commonplace into the extraordinary, he has re-purposed almost anything you don’t think about into masterpieces of imaginative complexity. His current, holiday-themed marvel, “Dashing Through New York” involves students transforming 19th century sleighs into everyday functional vehicles — pulled by horses, fake of course. If you dash on over to Rockefeller Center Santa’s sleighs are revving up, just waiting for the big eve.
