Ladislav Sutnar used his precision to create a series called the Venus paintings, which although they echo Pop Art of the ’60s, were exercises in geometric construction. Sutnar was a Constructivist at heart and his life was devoted to bringing order to chaos. This New Year’s card from Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia is an example of his distinct gifts.
