Weekend Heller: Designer’s Activism Gets Active

Designers are citizens who can take active roles in this Democracy. Not everyone will agree with Bonnie Siegler, but her pro-active stance is a model for us all, whatever our causes.

Siegler of the New York design firm 8 and a Half announced this week that she is hosting “My Old Kentucky Fundraiser” on September 14 in Brooklyn in support of Alison Lundergan Grimes, Democrat, for U.S. Senator.

“This is a crucial race,” Siegler asserts about this campaign against House Speaker Mitch McConnell, who she adds, “has wasted decades blocking legislation that would have helped middle class families, women and small businesses. ”
