Weekend Heller: Vignelli’s Super Warm Redux
Massimo Vignelli’s former associates, Yoshiki Waterhouse anad Beatriz Cifuentes, have just opened their own firm called Waterhouse Cifuentes Design. They have also just launched a website called SuperWarmRed.com, which conceives, develops and manufactures “timeless products across multiple scales and disciplines.” Waterhouse told me “we have made available a limited-run signed and unsigned posters of the New York City Subway Diagram, which we made with Massimo in 2012 for the MTA.”
It is slated this year to be made part of the permanent collection of MoMA, where it was on display this past summer and fall at their tribute to Massimo. There is also a set of detail posters that have a planned release soon.
