What Will They Think of Next?

Introducing the turducken of envelopes. An envelope within (or rather on top of) another envelope — a double-decker, two for the price of two. Before snail mail was referred to as snail mail, the United States Postal Service was the main man, the real deal. It was incumbent on communicators and sellers of all stripe to find and use innovative direct mail opportunities. The Du-Plex Two-In-One Envelopes was the best way to send Printed Matter (cheap) and a letter for around the same price. Bravo American know-how.


Now it’s a vestige of a time before letter carriers wore shorts and when deliveries often occurred twice-a-day and on Saturdays too. My favorite part is “See Letter On Other Side.” Reminds me of “Ce n’est pas une pipe,” no?
