What’s Old Is New Again
What are we supposed to do with the thousands upon thousands of obsolete objects, products – household DESIGNS – that earn this bittersweet status of being put out to pasture? The SVA MFA Design / Designer as Author + Entrepreneur’s first year students taking the 3D imaginings class taught by Kevin O’Callaghan have been planning a retrofit festival of household wares that will take you back and forward at the same time.
The exhibit opened just yesterday and will remain on view for two weeks at the SVA Gramercy Gallery, 209 East 23rd Street. Below are just a few of the stunning offerings.
