CineCov is a film festival that aims to turn the whole city of Coventry into a cinema with pop-up screenings. Wieden+Kennedy designed the branding for the project and took inspiration from the essence of cinema to create an identity that illustrates both a feeling of movement and a sensation of more profound discovery. Coventry is known for its brutalist architecture, so a strong use of geometric elements has been brought into the system as a nod to the city. The branding is inspiring, but its simplistic nature will allow the films to be true storytellers and starlights.
