THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.

For the next issue of Print we have invited 12 leading visual artists to choose a cause they would like to support and create a design for tote bags that will be sold on MyDesignShop.com. One hundred percent of the profits from these bags will go to the causes chosen by the artists.

We are now opening up submissions to the public and would love for you to participate. Choose a cause you'd like to support, and create a design for it that can be printed on a tote. Several winning designs and artists will be featured in the magazine. The first place winner will have his
or her creation printed onto a bag and will also get to choose one
of the totes made by our commissioned designers. The winner’s bag will be available in our online store and the profits will go to his/her selected charity.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The totes are 16 inches long by 15 inches wide. The maximum print area is 10 inches by 12 inches. Download our PDF template as a
basis for creating your art. You can choose up to two ink colors for
your design.

Above is an example of how your submission should look. Use the template we've provided to make a 72 dpi JPEG at full size, and submit your file to printcarryhope@gmail.com.

Along with your entry, please include the following information:
Name:
Email:
Phone Number:
Charity:
Brief description of your solution and how it relates to the charity:

Deadline: 3/15/10

Thank you for your submissions. We look forward to seeing your work!

Hello...does the design have to incorporate the charity organization's logo? Can one designer submit more than one design? Thank you.

Hi! I have the same questions as Jee9. Could you give me a few examples of charity organizations I could help consider to support? As of now, my mind is drawing a blank. Thank you. Shireen March 12,2010

Apologies for my random question, but are we able to pick the color of the tote or should we count on it being white/off-white? Thank you!
By amanday  March 12, 2010
@Jee9: You do not have to incorporate the charity's organization, and you may submit up to three design. @IDsignbyShireen: Charity Navigator is a great place to find charities, try them first! @amanday: the color will be regular canvas color. Good luck!

are we allowed to use the canvas as part of the design? for instance, white within the design would be canvas color? thanks!
