#CombatCovid: Design Takes Over Times Square

When the full impact of the COVID-19 pandemic began to come into focus, we partnered with Poster House and an array of the best designers working today to create a series of #CombatCovid PSAs.

They launched in mid-April in New York City—the worldwide hub hit hardest by the virus. The New York Times, NPR and other outlets helped spread the word as they cropped up on 1,800 LinkNYC units throughout New York, in Times Square, on JCDecaux bus shelters and newsstand screens, and a double-sided billboard at the base of the Lincoln Tunnel.

In quarantine, we’ve wondered what they look like out in the wild in their actual applications. Luckily, Times Square Arts, Poster House and LinkNYC have been able to snag some photos. Here are but a few.
