Rafael Serra, also known as FAEL, is a type designer and lettering artist based in Portugal. In his most recent collection of works known as Lettering Series XXXIII, he showcases pieces created both for clients and as personal projects.

Rafael has freelanced for several agencies, including Aspera Hartmann, Gen Design Studio, Leo Burnett Lisboa, Young & Rubicam Lisboa, and Hi-Interactive. These works from this collection range from logo redesigns for brands like McDonald's, Dunkin, Supreme, and Starbucks. Each redesign is unique while consistently sticking to a style that feels both retro and futuristic: a balance tricky to master yet done seemingly effortlessly in this case.
