I hate bugs of any kind (except bumble bees and fuzzy caterpillars, oh yes, and butterflies), but creepy crawlies like bed bugs are beyond the pale. They are so graphically unpleasant that I hesitate even showing them here (in fact, don’t look here if you are an entomophobe). Nonetheless, their destruction is big business (today it costs around $3000 on average to exterminate a home) and have been for many years. As these packages, labels and signs evidence, bed buggery, so to speak, is a plague that has spawned fear, revulsion and unique graphics.
