George and Luke Lois have been doing the feature “Timeless Whoppers” for The Nation magazine for the past 42 weeks. In the venerable photomontage caricature tradition, these pictures are clarions of some of the biggest fibs, lies and stupid comments made by public figures (regardless of party).
Just add a long Pinocchio nose and voila! The Whopper. “I got Whoppers swilling around in my head,” says George Lois. “When I go home tonight and watch the news, there’s always plenty to pick from.”
