The year was 1923. The magazine was the Swedish journal Favoriten (Favorite). The covers were so different as to suggest they were completely different magazines, or at least very different art directors. But nej (no), each cover is from the same year’s weekly run. Its either a case study of indecision or a devious plan to confuse readers. We’ll never know. Or will we?
