The lads at Productive Arts have a incredible run of Krasnaia Niva (Red Field), an illustrated newsprint journal published weekly by Izvestiia from its beginning in 1923 through 1929 and in 36 issues from 1930 through its end in 1931.

The magazine offered literature and poetry as well as reviews of exhibitions and theater performances and discussed social and political issues. Commercial advertisements on the back covers included those for Mosselprom, Rezinotrest, Hammer Pencils and the cinema.
The group offered by Productive Arts is a near complete run of individual issues for the five years of 1927-31. One lucky collector will get them, but for now here is a sampling of some startling covers.
