Edward Koren’s second exhibition at Luise Ross Gallery opens March 7 and is on view until April 11. It features his original drawings for cartoons published in The New Yorker. Also on hand is a suite of five lithographs printed at Idem Editions, Paris, depicting his weird and woolly creatures crossing the landscape by bike. “Koren’s fascination with cycling is a continuous thread in his work,” notes the gallery’s promotion. “As his sure line maneuvers across the page the bicycle becomes not just a mode of transportation for the body, but the soul as well.”
