Printing History, the semiannual journal of the American Printing History Association (APHA), has been published since 1979. This issue is redesigned by Michael Russem of Kat Ran Press. The content addresses all aspects of the history of printing and related arts and crafts, including calligraphy, typefounding, typography, papermaking, bookbinding, illustration and publishing. Printing History is an artifact in its own right, which reflects the histories it documents. The journal is beautifully designed, illustrated and printed, and is available only in paper format through membership in APHA. Back issues of Printing History are indexed in Library Literature and the MLA International Bibliography. Back issues of the new series are searchable in the EBSCO and Gale online academic databases, and many back issues of both the original and new series are also available for purchase.
