There is an art show of Sister Corita Kent’s work up right now at the Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College and it is very good. The show includes several of her amazing serigraphs (another word for silkscreens (I just learned that)), original watercolors, a video of Sister Corita discussing things, as well as a suitcase (it is a prototype with her design that I do not think was ever produced in larger quantities). The range of the prints is terrific. Looking at a lot of her early works which I did not know about helped me understand maybe why she was making some of the decisions she was making later (especially with her use of words/letters as aesthetics).
