Finally, a coffee cup where you won’t have to worry about the barista spelling your name wrong. Fresh off the Fall-Winter 2021-2021 fashion week runway, designer Virgil Abloh’s piping hot Coffee Cup pouch has hit the streets as part of Louis Vuitton’s “Everyday LV” capsule.

The cheeky concept toys with the mundanity of a to-go coffee cup by elevating the form with cowhide-leather trim, textile lining, and one of the most iconic symbols of luxury: the Louis Vuitton vintage monogram pattern. The trompe l’oeil pouch is meant to be carried by hand like, well, a coffee cup. Or, you could just wear it across your body with the bag’s detachable shoulder strap.

Retailing for $2,230.00, the Coffee Cup pouch is slightly more expensive than a cup of joe in LA.

Abloh also designed an oversized carrot bag as part of the collection–though I think we can all agree a croissant or scone-shaped tote would have made a bit more sense. The carrot gets constructed from bright orange leather adorned with the signature LV monogram, with green leather leaves sprouting from the head. A metal snap-hook dangles from the top of the carrot so that it can be easily attached to other bags.

What can I say? ‘Tis the season for food-themed handbags!
