Poop Provocateur, Who Gives A Crap, Expands Product Line To Coffee and We All Know Why

Posted inDesign News

The ever-provocative eco-friendly toilet paper pusher Who Gives A Crap has built its brand upon cheeky messaging around using the bathroom to sell its products. Their business model also boasts the donation of half of their proceeds to fund the construction of toilets and improvement of sanitation and hygiene at large within underprivileged communities around the world.

Recently, the nobility of Who Gives A Crap has reached new heights, as the start-up has set its sights on inciting people to use the bathroom even more through selling Fairtrade coffee with a roll of toilet paper in their new Blend No. 2 Coffee Bundle.

They’re not bashful about their poopy plotting, either. “We’ll do everything we can to get you to use more toilet paper,” the brand admits on their site. “The more you go, the more you use and the more we can donate to our amazing non-profit partners.”

“We’ve heard from reliable sources that coffee makes some people need to go to the bathroom,” Who Gives A Crap founder Simon Griffiths says via SmartCompany, the glint in his eye implied. “As a toilet paper business, we found that pretty interesting.”

The purposefully poop-inducing package comes with a 12oz bag of medium roast coffee (either in beans or grounds form) that’s been concocted in consultation with local Australian roasters that they insist “plays well with colons.” The coffee comes accompanied by a roll of 100% bamboo toilet paper and, in keeping with the company’s mission, comes in compostable packaging.

I have to tip my hat to the clever and light-hearted spirit of Who Gives A Crap, but I simply must demand they include some Poo-Pourri in their next bundle.
