In India, more than 140 million people have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of them migrant workers and day laborers.
In response, Chlorophyll Innovation Lab has launched a new initiative to put food on families’ plates via designer plates.
With The Plated Project, the group teamed up with 20 artists around the world to create a series of plates capturing an emotion or experience from the pandemic.
The designs encompass a broad range of styles, and 100% of the proceeds go to the cause. Each plate provides 250 meals to a worker’s family, and the project is seeking to support around 100,000 migrant workers.
Here’s a look at some of the designs. To pick one up, click here.
