I found an interesting article in Bloomberg Businessweek earlier today detailing the imminent collapse of the United States Postal Service. It’s a shame the organization has failed so spectacularly, considering the vast communication network it put together upon its inception.
The USPS has dropped about 20% of its mail volume in the last five years, and it’s still falling. The company hasn’t been able to cover its annual budget since 2007, and this year, it reaches its own internal borrowing limit. After that, who knows?
