There’s increasingly more and more interest in paper-and-ink indie magazines. Stack is a subscription service that sends a different indie out each month. It is now launching its first awards competition. I am among the jurors (see here), specializing in covers.
With such an impressive group of indies published over the past year, this promises to be an interesting and surprising selection.
Independent publishers make some of the world’s most exciting and inspiring magazines, but come awards time, they’re virtually invisible. The Stack Awards 2015 is our attempt to put that right—an awards scheme made specifically for independent magazines, recognizing the best work done by independent publishers and their contributors between October 2014 and September 2015.
