The detail, beauty and amazing nuances of well-executed typography and lettering often seem to get lost in the larger focus of design competitions these days.

So last year, we recruited Paul Shaw and Jessica Hische and launched an all-new competition: Print’s Typography & Lettering Awards.

And this year, it’s back.

But it’s not just a competition for typographers and handletterers. The awards focus on three categories (and each one has an accompanying student category, with a discounted entry fee):

1. Typographic Designs: Overall designs in which typography has been used as the primary focus or element of the piece.
