Carry Hope: Atelier Teléscopique for Fondation de France

by Print staff
Share/Save/Bookmark

Atelier Télescopique— consisting of Stéphane Meurice, Xavier Meurice, Sébastien Delobel, Baptiste Servais, and Jérémie Perrin—is based in Lille, France. The studio makes design work in a variety of media, including signage for a high school in Dunkerque, a website for Tank Architects, and an identity for the WÉO TV station in Calais.

THEIR CAUSE
Fondation de France helps individuals and companies who wish to be involved in philanthropy by enabling them to create their own foundations under its aegis. The organization sets up action programs in many areas, including education, medical and scientific research, culture, and the environment.

THE CONCEPT
“This design is directly inspired by the tote-bag material. We called this model ‘Wild Canvas,’ and we chose to use an embroidery technique to print the pattern on the canvas. We do not really know why, but the tiger is certainly one of the most re-produced patterns on embroidered canvas! This tiger is a symbol for the environment and ecology.”

See the complete set at My Design Shop. There are only 25 of each design, and they all come with a handmade hang tag and are individually numbered. All proceeds will go to the charity that the designer has chosen.
